GUEST POST: WORDS HAVE POWER
Hello Hive ladies! I am so honored to be doing a guest post for Megan at Willow Crowns and talk about the power of our words. As you know, last year was one of the hardest years for many of us. Mental health came to the forefront in our society like no other time in our history. Maybe some of us took on different coping skills to manage all the stress, anxiety and/or depression. These coping skills can be healthy ones and not-so-healthy ones, but whatever your situation may be, just know that we can do little things here and there to take care of ourselves mentally.
Enter the power of words…. What do I mean by that? Well, how we talk to ourselves, the inner most private voice in our heads can determine a lot with how we feel and behave. Words can hurt, heal, uplift, tear down, encourage, discourage… you get the point. Reading and saying positive statements to ourselves can slowly build us up. That is why I loved the beaded bracelets offered by Willow Crowns that have positive words on them. These little incremental steps slowly build up and become
internalized in our minds and hearts. Every so often, read them, think about them and know you are a work in progress. We all are. Hope this encourages you to take care of yourself internally!
